Another monster show as Mike Lindsey of Farsight Studio returns to the show!
Before we get to Mike, we are joined by Cole “Eternal Rhage” Martin to cover this week’s news including the new Overwatch Christmas update, Super Mario Run releasing, and a ton of new Xbox Backward Compatibility additions including Catherine, Bully, and the complete Bioshock trilogy! We also give away few games and I talk about our Dead Rising contest once again where people need to actually listen to the show for the info and not just read it here. Plus reviews!
Werewolves Within from Ubisoft is a social VR deduction and deception game which might be the killer app for those on the VR fence. Batman – The Telltale Series from Telltale Games is a five episode adventure game where you are the Dark Knight. The Little Acre from Pewter Games and Curve Digital is a gorgeous hand drawn adventure title. ABZU from Giant Squid and 505 Games is a gorgeous underwater exploration experience.
Uneaten Lake gives his review of Cargo Cult: Shoot’n’Loot, a VR shooter from Panoramik Inc. Plus we give our early previews of Paladins: Champions of the Realm from Hi-Rez Studios, a team based shooter in closed Alpha and Trove from Trion Worlds, a voxel based action MMO/world builder in open beta!
After a brief intermission Mike Lindsey of Farsight Studios returns to the show along with our friend Grant “Stemage” Henry to chat Stern Pinball Arcade’s wide variety of tables, future plans, potential updates, and real world pinball tables as well. Plus Grant and I give our official review of Stern Pinball Arcade and Grant gives his review of Oh…Sir!! The Insult Simulator from Vile Monarch and Gambitious Digital Entertainment!
We end the show with three songs from Grant “Stemage” Henry including two brand new Christmas ‘remixes’ and an older, rarely heard Christmas tribute to Kraid and Ridley’s drunken hookup!
