Derek Bradley and Andy Fenton of Multithreaded Games join the show, along with Royal Sefton, to chat about their game Bevontule now on Kickstarter!

The show kicks of with Andy, Derek, and Royal all hanging out discussing Bevontule: Altar of Roots, a fusion of Western, Japanese, and strategy RPGs! We chat about the long history and development of the game, going with Kickstarter, future plans for the game if funded, and how the hell you actually pronounce the game’s title and where it came from. Go check out the Kickstarter and help Derek & Andy make this game a reality!

After the others head out, it’s review time! The Longest Five Minutes from Nippon Ichi Software, SYRUPO-DX, & NIS America has you relive a JRPG journey in snack sized chunks as you remember the game you haven’t played yet. Pernell Vaughan checks out Aegis Defenders, a mix of action platforming and tower defense from GUTS Department & Humble Bundle.

Tim Ekkebus checks out Violet Cycle, a neopoly roguecade action game (their words) from Weckr Industries & Digerati Distribution before giving us an update on Digerati’s Switch release of Slain. Tim also checks out The Void Rains Upon Her Heart, a rogue-lite Bullet Hell shmup from Veyeral Games & The Hidden Levels (yes, THAT The Hidden Levels) as well as Crossing Souls, an 80’s era action adventure game from Fourattic & Devolver Digital.

Jacob Garner joins so we can review Mercenary Kings Reloaded, a stylish (and awesome) mission based run & gun from Tribute Games and the mobile release of platform adventure Ayo: A Rain Tale from Inkline. George Nowik calls in to check out ATOMIK: RunGunJumpGun, a tough as nails, gravity defying 2D action platformer from thirtythreegames & Gambitious (Good Shepherd Entertainment).

Tom Miller checks out the Carried Away: Winter Sports, a mashup of bridge building & winter sports minigames from Huge Calf Studios, FREE on Steam to coincide with the Olympics. Finally, Royal Sefton comes back to end the show with a review of hand drawn platformer Little Triangle from Cotton Game & Dreamoji.
