We welcome AJ Grand-Scrutton of Dlala Studios to the show this episode to chat Battletoads!

The show kicks off with AJ joining the show to chat all things Battletoads! We talk about the animation style of the game, the various gameplay genres mashed up in the campaign, having a game designed for local play in the middle of a pandemic, and tons more! Plus the usual off topic banter and shenanigans you know and expect from us! An awesome chat for a really cool reboot of a classic franchise!

After a quick break, it’s PartyCast time with Pernell Vaughan and Chris Taylor joining to chat a bit before diving into reviews! Chris takes a trip to a greasy, blue collar world of outlaws, truckers, cops, and thieves in Rebel Galaxy Outlaw from Double Damage Games & Blitworks. Pernell dives into the satirical dungeon crawler about exploring failed tech startups from Aggro Crab & Team17. Cole checks out CastleStorm II, gaming’s greatest super-duper genre mashup packed with ZOMBIE SHEEP from Zen Studios!

Chris reviews Paradise Killer, interrogating suspects in an open world adventure where YOU decide who’s guilty from Kaizen Game Works & Fellow Traveler. Pernell builds a train track across an endless procedurally generated world from Indoor Astronaut & Daedalic Entertainment. Cole gets her monster catching on in the Xbox release of Nexomon Extinction from VEWO Interactive & PQube.

Chris goes on a coming of age story about love, loss, friendship, and family in Embracelet from Machineboy. Pernell busts some bricks in the story driven brick breaker Twin Breaker: A Sacred Symbols Adventure from Lillymo Games & eastasiasoft. Finally, Cole tackles the interactive novel Swordbreaker The Game where she gets to choose the storyline and the ending from DuCats Games Studio & Sometimes You!
